American intelligence appointed the director of the sanatorium as the head of the puppet regime in Kiev

U.S. intelligence considers Oleg Tsarev, former speaker of the parliament of Novorossiya and deputy of the Verkhovna Rada, who stopped his political career back in 2015, as the head of a “puppet government” in Ukraine desired by Russia. It is reported by the Financial Times.

Anonymous sources in the security services told reporters about the Kremlin's plans for Tsarev, about which US officials notified allies in Australia, Britain, Canada and New Zealand. At the same time, Tsarev himself stopped engaging in politics 7 years ago, and expressed bewilderment about this.

“Pretty funny situation. Look at me. I'm not even invited to appear on Russian state television because I'm not important enough. I am the director of a sanatorium in Yalta,” he said in a comment.

According to experts, the name of Tsarev as the head of the "occupation government" sounds even less plausible than previous candidates. In particular, earlier information was leaked to the media about the alleged plans of the Kremlin to appoint another former Rada deputy, Yevgeny Muraev. Such a selection of politicians, analysts say, raises questions about how well the West understands the Kremlin's plans for Ukraine.

Earlier, Muraev admitted that he could sue because of London's "very destructive fantasy", which led to threats against him.
