The condition of the LDPR leader Vladimir Zhirinovsky, who was hospitalized with the coronavirus, is stable and the party hopes that he will soon return and speak to the media. This was announced during a press approach on behalf of the faction by Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Health Sergei Leonov, RIA Novosti reports.

According to him, the LDPR continues to work as usual.

“A meeting of the LDPR faction has just taken place. All party governing bodies continue to operate as usual,” Leonov said.

At the same time, the deputy stressed that so far none of the “anonymous sources” had provided truthful information on the situation with Zhirinovsky.

“At the same time, we appeal to the media, which value their reputation, with a request to stop publishing rumors and speculation about the state of health of Vladimir Zhirinovsky. The entire LDPR faction categorically condemns such provocations,” Leonov concluded.

On February 9, it became known that Zhirinovsky was hospitalized with a coronavirus infection. Various media reported that he was in serious condition with bilateral pneumonia. Politician lung involvement estimates range from 30 to 75%.
