According to her, many Western countries that are members of these associations “simply lost, or, now it’s worth saying, their sovereignty was somewhat borrowed from them.”

Zakharova noted that the response to the proposal of the US and NATO on security guarantees is almost ready.

At a meeting of Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday, February 14, with the heads of the Foreign Ministry and the Ministry of Defense, Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov said that the Russian response took ten pages. He noted that the text contains a warning to the West about the inadmissibility of endlessly dragging out the discussion of the issue of security guarantees. There is always a chance to negotiate with the West, he added, and the Russian Federation plans to increase the activity of these negotiations.
