Peskov praised NATO's statement about the lack of evidence of the withdrawal of Russian troops

Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov criticized the statement by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg that there are no signs of de-escalation on the border with Ukraine, but only an increase in Russian troops.

“A certain, probably, handicap is present in the system for assessing the state of affairs in NATO. This, for sure, does not allow NATO representatives to soberly assess the situation... There are problems. There are problems in the system for assessing the situation,” the Kremlin spokesman said.

Earlier, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that the alliance is receiving signals from Moscow about its readiness to diplomatically resolve the situation around the Ukrainian problem, but at the same time, tensions in the region cannot be said to decrease, since the number of Russian troops near the Ukrainian border is increasing.

The West has repeatedly accused Russia of the impending "invasion" of the territory of Ukraine. As an argument, Western politicians use the fact that the Russian Federation has allegedly increased its presence in the border zones with Ukraine - up to 125 thousand soldiers.
