Lavrov said that Moscow will respond to London if anti-Russian sanctions are adopted

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that if in the law on toughening anti-Russian sanctions comes into force, then the Russian parliament will have every right to adopt a similar document. It is reported by Interfax.

“It will be necessary to adopt a similar law in relation to those who are trying to make a career for themselves and gain ratings and gain popularity on a Russophobic path,” the Russian Foreign Minister said at a press conference in Moscow on February 16.

According to the diplomat, Moscow understands "how much London is used to and loves to play the role of a provocateur in relations between Russia and the West."

At the same time, Lavrov expressed the hope that other Western states are more responsible players, they will be able to recognize this attempt to provoke new “waves of sanctions wars” and will not want to be involved in this.

Earlier it was reported that the new sanctions of London against the Russian Federation may affect the Russian media and the defense sector.
