Russia - IT students of the best universities passed the exam for special forces soldiers of the Airborne Forces

Russia (bbabo.net), - At the training center of the Ryazan Airborne School, "cyber soldiers" were congratulated on the completion of the "Winters in Special Forces" project.

"Cyberspecial forces" are four dozen students of the Russian Technological University (MIREA) and the Moscow State Law School (MSLA). There are many more "techies", so the prefix "cyber" has stuck to everyone. Correspondents went to the training ground to figure out why future IT specialists and lawyers need the skills of the special forces of the Airborne Forces?

“Working with them is very interesting, they are different from the contingent with which I have to work every day,” says the instructor of the training center Viktor Ivanov. “The guys are intellectually savvy, very smart and quick-witted. We added toughness and brutality to them, and they became almost like elite fighters of Russian units.

The "Winter in Special Forces" experience can be used by all higher and secondary educational institutions in Russia with an unlimited number of participants

The instructor changed his name during the conversation, changing the patch on his chest. Do not smile, outsiders are not supposed to know the real name of the commando. These are not games, everything is grown-up here - frost, snow, weapons.

Just imagine: you are sleeping peacefully, before getting up (it is at 6.00) for a few more hours. Suddenly, a grenade flies into the cockpit. Not combat, of course - an explosive package. Explosion, screams. Rush to get equipment and weapons. That's how they wake up in the special forces. Well, not every night, if every night - you can't stock up on grenades. And when there's a surprise. For example, the 12-hour Survival Raid.

“It’s not the first time I’ve been at a training camp in special forces, but for the first time I fired live ammunition,” student Marina Svobodina does not hide her emotions.

A slender girl: pigtails, a dazzling smile and a 7.62 mm SVD weighing 4.5 kg in her hands. He says that shooting with a sniper rifle is very cool: "Only a lot of recoil due to a very powerful cartridge."

“Those who want more than places, the main selection criteria are academic performance, good results in physical training and participation in the military projects of the university, including military-patriotic ones,” notes Stanislav Kudzh, rector of the Technological University. “This year, our project was supported by the commander of the Airborne Forces Andrey Serdyukov, because Yunarmiya, DOSAAF are engaged in schoolchildren, and almost no one is engaged in students.

Is two weeks not enough?

"We think it's enough," the rector answers my question. "We improve methodological approaches, make changes, including taking into account the wishes of themselves."

The experience of "Winter in Special Forces" can be used by all higher and secondary educational institutions with an unlimited number of participants. The idea will be discussed by representatives of the Ministry of Defense and experts from military training centers at Russian universities: a round table on this topic will be held in Moscow in the second half of February.

But isn't the load too big for guys and girls?

“Well, what’s the point of going to the army if you don’t experience everything that the soldiers experience?” student Maxim Bocharnikov argues. “Yes, it’s difficult, yes, it’s unusual, yes, it’s hard for someone. But if you endure, then you say to yourself: I'm done. Everything is doable. I recommend it to everyone: they shoot here, it's fun here."

Fourth-year student Anastasia Tereshina, a future specialist in the field of computer security, is in the special forces for the third time. He is thinking of linking his life with law enforcement agencies.

Participation in the project does not mean that the student is obliged to link his career with the army. Yes, the military needs IT specialists more than ever. But this is voluntary. And skills come in handy everywhere.

... Saying goodbye, I asked the sniper Marina: "If you meet a bully, will you protect your boyfriend?" Smiling cyber fighter Svobodina admitted: "I don't have a boyfriend yet, but I will definitely protect everyone who needs help!"
