Russia (bbabo.net), - In the Leningrad region on Victory Day in the village of Kokkorevo on May 9, after restoration, the folk museum "Road of Life" will open. This became known at a meeting in the Investigative Committee for the Leningrad region, dedicated to the results of citizens' appeals to the head of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Alexander Bastrykin.

Recall that the difficult situation of the folk museum in Kokkorevo became known in March of the year before last. It turned out that without proper funding, the exhibits fall into decay, and there are no places to store them.

After the intervention of the Russian Investigative Committee, the building was completely bought out by the authorities of the Leningrad region and began to carry out large-scale restoration work in the museum. By May 9, it should open to visitors. The exposition will be based on the fate of people who worked on the Road of Life during the blockade.

By the way, during the meeting, the head of the Investigative Committee for the Leningrad Region, Sergei Sazin, called on local authorities to have a close dialogue with residents. As a result, the department notes, specific recommendations were developed. The first decisions appeared.

So, during the meeting, the Chairman of the Council of Veterans of the village of Rakhya, Stanislav Pirnach, said that there are other memorial objects in the Leningrad Region that need the attention of the authorities and gave an example of the monument to the 101st Separate Long-Range Battery of Coastal Defense. Vladimir Tsoi, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Leningrad Region, who was present at the meeting, said that the authorities of the region are ready to take the monument into balance.
