TV show about a Muslim married couple will make viewers laugh heartily

American Muslims Muna Haidar and Sebastian Robins filmed a documentary series in which they travel around the country and get acquainted with the life of fellow believers in different parts of the United States.

The main characters of the TV show "The Great Muslim American Tour" were an ethnic Muslim woman and a Muslim convert. Muna Haydar, a Syrian-American rapper, and her husband Sebastian Robins, a writer and educator, converted to Islam after meeting her, bbabo.net reports citing the Washington Post.

Muna and Sebastian traveled from Chicago to Los Angeles on the infamous Route 66, stopping in various cities along the way. In Chicago they met Muhammad Ali's daughter, Maryam, and at other stopping points they met Muslim engineers, restaurateurs, doctors and writers. The main characters of the show, thanks to their sense of humor, make the viewer laugh more than once.

“I hope people will laugh at us properly. We love to poke fun and I hope people feel it,” says Muna.

“We wanted this trip to open up a wider perspective so that people can see the whole story through our eyes,” Sebastian adds.
