Russia (bbabo.net), - High-speed catamarans will connect Petersburg and Kronstadt. Transport will be on the line next year, according to Smolny.

For a long time, it was possible to get from St. Petersburg to Kronstadt only by buses that ran from the Staraya Derevnya metro station. Since last year, meteors have been on the line; over the past summer, about 23 thousand people took advantage of them.

High-speed catamarans are introduced not instead of "Meteors", but in parallel with them. In total, six vessels are planned to be launched on the line by 2024. Each catamaran is designed for 150 passengers.

Smolny expects that in three years the number of people who travel to Kronstadt and back by water transport will reach 200,000 people.
