The Kremlin assessed the situation on the border between Russia and Ukraine

Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov said that the situation on the border of Russia and Ukraine is stable. The Kremlin spokesman announced this during a briefing.

“Russian troops are not occupying anything anywhere...,” Peskov drew attention.

As the press secretary of the head of state added, tension continues to grow on the line of contact of the self-proclaimed republic.

“Now we see that these terrible provocations are going on, we see reports from representatives of the self-proclaimed republics that there is an exchange of blows on the line of contact, that the first blows came from Ukraine,” Peskov said.

Peskov said that the Ukrainian military had previously repeatedly stated that they now do not see "any emergency potential of Russia, from the Russian territory, which contrasts strongly with the corresponding statements of other countries."

According to the spokesman, other states continue to refer to their intelligence, but they are not confirmed by Kiev.

Earlier, Peskov said that Russia would not demand an apology for fakes about the “invasion” of Ukraine.
