Russia and the CIS (bbabo.net) - An organizational meeting of representatives of the teams that will take part in the First Cup of the Spiritual Board of Muslims of the city of Omsk and the Omsk region took place in the Khair-Ikhsan mosque.

The tournament, which will be held on February 23 at the Krasnaya Zvezda stadium, is dedicated to the 1100th anniversary of the adoption of Islam by the Volga Bulgaria and the 200th anniversary of the Omsk region.

Football competitions among Muslim teams will be held in the Omsk region for the first time. Among the participants of the team of mosques in the city of Omsk, consisting of Muslim players. A prerequisite is the inclusion of at least two acting imams in the team. Teams of six Omsk mosques expressed their readiness to participate in the tournament and compete for the challenge cup: Khair-Ikhsan, the Central Cathedral Mosque, Iman, them. Kozha-Akhmeta, Salavat and the mosques of the Cherlak market.

At the organizational meeting, the captains and representatives of the teams discussed the conditions of the tournament, the rules for selecting players and holding games. The meeting ended with a traditional treat for the guests.

Due to coronavirus restrictions, the tournament will be held without spectators, but everyone will be able to watch the broadcast of the tournament on Youtube.
