According to the St. Petersburg Health Committee, the pensioner entered the institution on January 23. Her condition was severe, so she was initially in the intensive care unit.

Respiratory failure, which arose against the background of the coronavirus, was complicated by cardiovascular diseases. Within four days, the doctors were able to stabilize the patient's condition and transferred her to the general ward.

The treatment was continued, the doctors picked up antiviral, symptomatic and detoxification therapy for the pensioner and were able to defeat the insidious disease. As a result, the elderly woman recovered, and after receiving a negative PCR, she was discharged.
