Two Russian Tu-22M3s performed air patrols over Belarus

The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported that two Russian Tu-22M3 long-range bombers worked out a three-hour patrol during exercises in Belarus. It is reported by RIA Novosti.

“In the course of the joint exercise “Allied Resolve - 2022”, two Tu-22M3 long-range bombers of the Russian Aerospace Forces performed another patrol in the airspace of the Republic of Belarus,” the press service of the military department said.

Aircraft were escorted by Su-35 fighters at a number of stages. All aircraft successfully returned to their home airfield.

The day before, Russia deployed two Tu-22M3 bombers with X-22 supersonic anti-ship missiles (ASMs) to Syria. The Ministry of Defense has published the first pictures of Tu-22M3 long-range bombers with new weapons.
