Russia - Kirov prosecutor's office will check the legality of cutting down fir trees near the monument

Russia (bbabo.net), - The actions of the officials of the Kirov administration caused a wide public outcry, thanks to which three firs in the city center were cut down to the root.

They grew up near the monument to Sergei Mironovich Kirov, but on one of the January days, Oktyabrsky Prospekt seemed to be "bald", as the townspeople put it. Many of them believe that coniferous trees were healthy and should not have been destroyed.

However, the response of the city administration to a correspondent's request states the following (the style of presentation is preserved): "These trees were in the active stage of damage by adverse factors with clear signs of deterioration: the crown is openwork, poorly developed, the needles are light green, matte, growth is weak, less half of the usual, the presence of drying or shrunken branches, fruiting bodies of tinder fungi or hollows characteristic of them, damage by diseases and pests of the trunk, root paws, branches, needles, including attempts or local settlements of stem pests.

The answer was signed by the deputy head of the administration of the city of Kirov, Sergei Zotin. At the same time, the residents of Kirov are making attempts to find out whether this is so. For example, a member of the Legislative Assembly of the Kirov region, Mikhail Kovyazin, filed a corresponding request with the environmental prosecutor's office. The department replied that his letter "was sent for consideration on the merits to the prosecutor's office of the Kirov region."
