Elon Musk, who compared Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to Hitler, came under criticism from Jewish organizations around the world, RIA Novosti reports.
Musk posted a meme on his Twitter account - a picture in the form of a photograph of Adolf Hitler and the caption: "Stop comparing me to Justin Trudeau. I had a budget."
Musk subsequently deleted the tweet, suggesting that he posted the image in mockery of sanctions against crypto transactions aimed at helping truckers participating in anti-Covid protests.
“Elon Musk acted extremely unwisely, referring to Hitler in order to express his point of view on social networks. He should immediately apologize,” the American Jewish Committee responded.
In addition, Musk's act was condemned in the Auschwitz Museum.
“This is a disrespect to the memory of all the victims of the Nazi regime and hurts many people,” the message says.
Earlier, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau accused the conservative opposition of pandering to "people with swastikas" because of their support for protesting truckers.
