Blinken thanked Poland for helping Americans leaving Ukraine

US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken discussed with Polish Foreign Minister and OSCE Chairman-in-Office Zbigniew Rau the initiative to launch a renewed European Security Dialogue and thanked him for helping Americans leaving Ukraine. This was reported in a statement by the press service of the US Foreign Ministry.

"The Secretary of State thanked the Foreign Secretary for his assistance with American citizens who are leaving Ukraine," the statement said.

The press service also noted that Blinken welcomed the involvement of the head of the Polish Foreign Ministry in working with Kiev and Moscow, expressing support for Minister Rau's initiative to launch a renewed dialogue on European security in the OSCE.

Earlier, the US Embassy repeatedly called on compatriots to leave Ukraine and published a road map with a list of countries to leave. The Americans were advised to leave Ukraine through Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania and Moldova. The diplomatic mission also called on all US citizens in Ukraine to fill out an online form so that diplomats can contact them.

In recent months, there have been statements in the West and Kiev in particular about Russia's allegedly impending "invasion" of Ukraine. In turn, the Kremlin has more than once directly denied any plans for an attack, and reports from Western media and officials about the preparation of an attack are called unfounded and untrue.
