The LPR told how many times per day the Ukrainian security forces violated the regime of silence

The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) shelled the territory of the self-proclaimed Luhansk People's Republic (LPR) 29 times over the past day. Interfax reports this with reference to the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of the Ceasefire Regime (JCCC).

“Over the past 24 hours on February 17, 29 violations of the ceasefire regime were recorded by the Armed Forces of Ukraine using heavy weapons,” the message says.

The armed conflict in the south-east of Ukraine began in 2014, when the inhabitants of Donbass did not recognize the new government after the coup. In 2015, the leaders of the Normandy Four agreed on measures to implement the Minsk agreements of September 19, 2014. Ukraine adopted a law on the special status of Donbass in 2014, but it has not yet entered into force.

Earlier, the JCCC reported that the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to shell the settlements controlled by the republic: Molodezhnoye, Zolote-5, Slavyanoserbsk and Sokolniki.
