Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said in an interview with RT that US Ambassador to the UN Linda Thomas-Greenfield is an example of "refined diplomacy."

“Somewhere in front of reporters, she said that Russia’s “invasion” of Ukrainevitable. Allegedly, they saw how our country does it in other parts of Eastern Europe. Now any “bast in line,” said the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

Earlier, US Ambassador to the UN Linda Thomas-Greenfield, arguing for Russian plans to "attack" Ukraine, in an interview with CNN stated that Russia was "invading other parts of Eastern Europe", without specifying which regions in question.

Prior to this, Thomas-Greenfield confused Donbass with Crimea during an interview with the BBC broadcasting company. She also stated that the meeting of the UN Security Council will be devoted to the Crimean peninsula, and not to the Donbass.
