Russia - First snowdrops bloom in Moscow

Russia (bbabo.net), - The first snowdrops blooming this year were noticed in the capital. They grow in the open air on the territory of the Botanical Garden of Moscow State University "Pharmaceutical Garden".

According to the press service of the garden, you can take pictures with them at the main entrance to the Shadow Garden. "On the territory of the Pharmaceutical Garden there is its own microclimate, which allows plants to bloom a little earlier than in other parts of the city," the press service explained. In total, six types of snowdrops grow on the territory of the garden: Voronov's snowdrop, folded, Elvis's, snowy, alpine, Rizean. All snowdrops are a genus of perennial grasses of the Amaryllis family; in nature, there are about 20 species of these plants.

Some countries, such as England, have spectacular snowdrop gardens. They are popular in horticulture and are among the best-selling bulb plants in the world - millions of bulbs are exported annually from Turkey and Georgia.

By the way, you can admire not only primroses in the open air, but greenhouse tulips, lilies, crocuses, almonds, magnolia and others at the largest flower exhibition in Russia "Rehearsal of Spring". In total, 10 thousand flowering plants will be presented at the exhibition. The exhibition will be held in the exhibition and old greenhouses from February 23 to March 12.
