The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, in her Telegram channel commented on the words of US President Joe Biden about the aggravation of the situation in Ukraine.

Earlier, Biden said that Washington allegedly has information that Russia will attack Ukraine and even Kiev in the coming weeks. The American leader also accused the LPR and DPR of violating the ceasefire in Donbass, adding,

“The most monstrous thing is not a word about the true state of affairs of the civilian population in the Donbass. No people, no problems?” Zakharova wrote.

The diplomat recalled that, according to Biden, the Russian military "totally besieged" Ukraine, and ironically suggested that the US president should have added, "Russia has moved dangerously close to NATO's borders."

On February 18, the leadership of the LPR and DPR announced the evacuation, explaining such a measure by the threat of an imminent attack by the Ukrainian military.
