Oksana Marchenko, the wife of the head of the political council of the Ukrainian party Opposition Platform - For Life (OPPL), Viktor Medvedchuk, left Ukraine for Belarus. This is reported by the Observer.

According to the publication, the woman hastily left the country on February 18. Marchenko crossed the border checkpoint in the Chernihiv region, accompanied by security guards.

In Ukraine, Medvedchuk is suspected of treason and embezzlement of national resources in the Crimea, as well as in the supply of coal from the territories of Donbass. He is currently under house arrest.

Earlier, Medvedchuk said that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky destroyed the country's economy in two years.

According to him, over the two years that Zelensky was in power, the price of gas for the population increased by 69%, housing and communal tariffs - by 129%, debts of the population for housing and communal services from August 2019 - by 79%, and bread prices - by 350%.
