“Over the past weeks, we have seen reports of an increase in ceasefire violations by Russian separatists who are trying to provoke Ukraine in the Donbas,” Biden said.

He added that there is no evidence that Kiev is preparing an attack on the Donbass.

“There is no evidence, and it is contrary to the simplest logic, to believe that the Ukrainians will choose this moment, when more than 150,000 troops have gathered at the borders, to escalate a conflict that has been going on for years,” the US President said.

Earlier, Biden said that the United States has information that Russia will attack Ukraine and even Kiev in the coming weeks.
