Russia (bbabo.net), - In Russia, since March 1, the rules for obtaining a permit to own a weapon have been tightened. This was announced by Vadim Medvedev, Deputy Head of the Main Directorate of the Russian Guard in Moscow, Head of the Center for Licensing and Permitting Work.

To obtain weapons, Russians will have to undergo a medical examination in state or municipal medical institutions. In addition, the National Guard will be able to check the fact of its passage by a citizen in real time, TASS reports.

Earlier it was reported that if a medical organization during a routine medical examination or treatment of any disease finds contraindications to such possession in the owner of a weapon, it will be able to cancel the conclusion that previously allowed the person to own a weapon. The order to this effect was signed by the Ministry of Health.

In January, the chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Alexander Bastrykin, proposed to resume control over the circulation of civilian weapons and cartridges by the bodies of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs. Now the control and licensing activities are carried out by divisions of the National Guard.

Recall that in Kazan on May 11 last year, a tragedy occurred - a former student of gymnasium No. 147, Ilnaz Galyaviev, at the entrance to the school, first blew up an improvised explosive device, and then opened fire. 7 children and two teachers were killed. The weapon on the young man was officially registered.

And on September 20, student Timur Bekmansurov opened fire from a gun, also bought legally, at Perm State University - six people were killed.

Soon gun laws were tightened. Additional grounds for refusing to issue licenses have been introduced, the minimum age for purchasing civilian weapons has been raised from 18 to 21, criminal liability has been increased for illegal circulation of weapons and administrative liability for violating various rules for the storage, carrying and use of civilian weapons.
