According to him, the behavior of the ambassador is far from useful. He "lost his shores" by demanding that the German chancellor deliver an ultimatum to the Russian president.

According to media reports, Melnik called on Chancellor Olaf Scholz before visiting Moscow to urgently demand that Russia withdraw its forces from the border with Ukraine. In this regard, Mutzenich criticized the ambassador, regarding his behavior as interference in internal affairs.
