The European Commission called the conditions for the introduction of new sanctions against Russia

European Commission Speaker Peter Stano explained in an interview under what conditions the European Union would be ready to impose new sanctions against Moscow.

“New sanctions will only be a reaction to new actions by Russia. What Russia is doing now is intimidation and provocation. But this is not a violation of international law. The majority of Russian soldiers are on Russian territory. Yes, we know that they have direct links with the DPR and LPR, but sanctions have already been imposed for this. So so far, Russia has not done anything that we would have to respond with sanctions, ”said the EU representative.

According to him, the EU will be able to provide a suitable response "if Russia does something concrete."

“Now we are analyzing the situation, working out all possible steps that we can resort to if Russia violates international law and attacks Ukraine,” he added.
