Former Prime Minister of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), head of the Union of Donbass Volunteers and deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Alexander Boroday, in an interview with a correspondent, said that the Armed Forces of Ukraine (APU) are many times superior to the armies of the DPR and LPR.

“This is real strength. The Armed Forces of Ukraine in Donbass are several times superior to the armies of the people's republics both in terms of weapons and military equipment. In addition to the army itself, there are also other units of the law enforcement agencies of Ukraine, even the prosecutor's office. No matter how ridiculous it sounds, in 2014 there were tank troops of the General Prosecutor's Office, and Ukraine also had saboteur prosecutors. They were not particularly effective, but even now they exist,” Borodai said.

At the same time, he noted that the Armed Forces of Ukraine have the most modern types of weapons and military equipment, which are supplied to Ukraine by the United States and European countries.

“There is superiority of the enemy, including in technology and new types of weapons. The West is actively saturating the Ukrainian army with electronic warfare equipment, drones, anti-tank systems, and sniper rifles. About two years ago, Ukraine also launched the production of its Struna anti-tank systems with a high combat potential. Donbass does not have such modern weapons,” says the head of the Union of Donbass Volunteers.
