US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said that the continuation of the exercises between Russia and Belarus suggests that the scenario of aggression against Ukraine continues to be implemented. He spoke about this in an interview with CNN.

“Yes, it is (raises concern). It also shows that the scenario we outlined at the (dedicated to the implementation of the Minsk agreements) meeting of the Security Council (UN on February 17), according to which the Russian Federation is trying to carry out a series of provocations to justify aggressive actions against Ukraine, is moving forward (in implementation),” Blinken said.

He stressed that developments in the Donbass also confirm that the United States' predictions about Russia's alleged "invasion" of Ukraine are coming true.

“All of this, combined with the false flag operations we saw over the weekend, tells us that the scenario we previously stated is playing out. It seems that everything that precedes the real invasion is happening, as we have already described, ”the US Secretary of State expressed the opinion.

Earlier, Blinken said that a meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov is still on the agenda.
