An exception is made only for highly passable vehicles, the press service of the regional Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported.

According to Interfax, citing a source in the administration of Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, the movement of vehicles is also limited in the five-kilometer sections Troitskoye - Novotroitskoye and Ogonki - Nevelsk. There are interruptions in the work of public transport in the regional capital.

"The blizzard continues, perhaps we will close some of the routes. Therefore, we urge employers to let people go remotely as much as possible," the mayor's office said.
