The head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, signed a decree on the conscription of citizens born in 1995-2004 into military service. The document is published on the website of the republic.

“To carry out conscription for military service for the mobilization of citizens born in 1995-2004 who are not in the reserve and subject, in accordance with the law of the Donetsk People’s Republic “On military duty and military service”, to conscription for military service,” the decree says.

Pushilin also signed a decree on changes to the decree on general mobilization. Thus, the document says that citizens over 55 years of age are voluntarily called up for military service.

The day before, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree recognizing the DPR and LPR. The heads of the republics Denis Pushilin and Leonid Pasechnik addressed the corresponding request. Following this, Putin instructed the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation to ensure the maintenance of peace on the territory of the republics.
