Nebenzya: Kiev is still obliged to comply with the Minsk agreements

The Ukrainian authorities are still obliged to comply with the Minsk agreements. This was stated by Russia's representative to the UN Vasily Nebenzya during a meeting of the Security Council, TASS writes.

The Russian representative pointed out that the Minsk agreements had long been openly sabotaged by Ukraine "with the patronage of Western colleagues."

“And now we see that many colleagues want to sign that the Minsk agreements are dead. But this is not the case, and Kiev is still obliged to comply with them, ”concluded Nebenzya.

Russian President Vladimir Putin, during an appeal to the Russians, announced a decision on the recognition of the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics (DPR and LPR).

The Russian leader announced Russia's recognition of the independence of the DNR and LNR.

Earlier, Putin took part in a meeting of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, during which the speaker of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu and others spoke in favor of recognizing the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics.
