The Ministry of State Security of the DPR reported an attempted terrorist attack against the former head of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic, Vladimir Kononov. This was reported on the website of the department.

“Today, February 22 at 16:32, near the intersection of Lazarenko and Tsusimskaya streets, an attempt was made to carry out a terrorist act against the former Minister of Defense of the DPR, Vladimir Kononov,” the report says.

A civilian was injured during the explosion, and a criminal case was opened.

Earlier, the deputy head of the People's Militia of the DPR, Eduard Basurin, announced an explosion on the Donetsk-Gorlovka highway, as a result of which three people were killed.

Prior to this, the LPR reported that a civilian was wounded during the shelling of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
