Zelensky said he was ready to end the war

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said in an address to fellow citizens that he was ready to end the war with Donbass.

“I am ready to end the war through bilateral negotiations and with the participation of other leaders,” he stressed.

At the same time, he accused Russia of withdrawing from the Minsk agreements, because Moscow stated that they had no alternative.

Earlier, Zelensky assured fellow citizens that Ukraine would not give up its territories to anyone.

He spoke in connection with Russia's recognition of the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics, which, he noted, are part of the internationally recognized borders of Ukraine. Kiev remains faithful to the peaceful diplomatic path of resolving the armed conflict in Donbass "and will follow them and only them," the Ukrainian president stressed.

Prior to that, speaking after talks with Estonian President Alar Karis in Kiev, Zelensky said that he had received a request from the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry regarding the issue of severing diplomatic relations between Ukraine and Russia. According to him, Ukraine "is not the first time calling on Russia to resolve the issue of de-escalation through dialogue at the negotiating table."
