Ukraine announces conscription of reservists for military service

The Ukrainian authorities began to call for military service reservists aged 18 to 60 years. As the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine informed, the corresponding order was signed by President Volodymyr Zelensky.

"Reservists aged 18 to 60 will be called up. These will be both officers and privates, non-commissioned officers," the report says. The exact period of their service is not called, but it can be up to one year.

Reservists of the operational reserve of the first stage will serve in those military units and in the specialty where they served before. At the same time, jobs and average monthly wages will be preserved for conscripts.

According to the order, reservists must independently report to their military units after receiving a summons or a phone call. Or submit documents why they can't do it. Failure to appear or ignoring the call is subject to administrative or criminal liability.
