Russia - Omsk Oil Refinery passed an audit for compliance with international environmental standards

Russia (bbabo.net), - Specialists of the world's leading auditing company DQS Holding highly appreciated the environmental modernization of the Omsk Oil Refinery. The most significant projects include a new complex, which is being built as part of the Clean Air federal project, and which will increase the depth of oil refining to almost 100 percent.

Independent experts noted the use of renewable energy sources as the strengths of the ONPZ. The solar power plant operating here ensures the supply of all non-production facilities of the enterprise. For two years of operation, the installation has supplied two million kilowatt-hours of "green" energy to the grid.

Since 2008, Gazprom Neft has been conducting environmental modernization projects for the enterprise. All this time, the ONPZ has been applying the best practices that minimize the impact of production on the environment. And a comprehensive check of all lines, administrative divisions, laboratories, process control center confirmed this high level.

- The Omsk Oil Refinery improves its technological capabilities and introduces the latest environmental solutions, strictly following the requirements of international industry standards. Environmental friendliness and safety in the work of a modern industrial enterprise are no less important today than the operational efficiency of production, - says Oleg Belyavsky, General Director of the Omsk Oil Refinery.

Now the plant is completing the construction of a complex of treatment facilities "Biosfera", which will provide a closed cycle of water consumption. With the commissioning of the facility, the quality of water treatment will increase to 99.9 percent. This is the best indicator in the world.
