Scholz warned of the risk of the Ukrainian conflict spreading to other countries

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz warned German citizens that the Ukrainian conflict could "spread" to other European countries, TASS reports.

He emphasized that the West does not accept Russia's military actions in Ukraine, calling them "an attempt to move the borders by force and remove the whole country from the world map."

“Quite deliberately, [Russian President Vladimir] Putin breaks with the basic principles of the UN Charter and the European world order,” Scholz said.

He said that Moscow would pay a "high price" and sanctions would "affect the Russian economy."

On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that he had decided to conduct a military special operation to protect Donbass in response to a request for help from the heads of the LPR and DPR.

Ukraine severed diplomatic relations with Russia. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has submitted a bill on general mobilization to the Verkhovna Rada.
