Moldova (bbabo.net), - Ship MILLENIAL SPIRIT IMO Nr. 7392610 (chemical tanker) under the flag of Moldova, while in the neutral waters of the Black Sea (46°22.221'N, 031°07.095'E) was hit by a projectile, the Maritime Agency of Moldova reported on Friday.
As noted in the agency, the source of the projectile launch is unknown, according to noi.md.
According to the Maritime Agency, a fire broke out on board the ship, equipment and lifeboats were destroyed, and the ship's crew left the ship wearing only life jackets.
"At the moment, rescue work is being carried out by nearby ships. The crew of the ship are citizens of the Russian Federation," the message says.
The Maritime Agency will additionally inform about the process of rescuing the crew and the ship under the flag of Moldova.
