Ukrainian Ambassador to Turkey Vasily Bondar said that Kyiv does not ignore negotiations with Russia and wants to stop hostilities. It is reported by RIA Novosti.
“We are not ignoring, we want the hostilities to stop, and the Russian troops to be withdrawn from our territories. I think we will achieve this,” Bondar said.
The diplomat also stressed that the first condition for Kyiv in negotiations with the Russian Federation would be a ceasefire and the withdrawal of troops.
Bondar stressed that the planned meeting will be held without preconditions.
Earlier, negotiations between the delegations of the Russian Federation and Ukraine, which should take place near Gomel, will be organized on the Belarusian-Ukrainian border in the area of the Pripyat River.
