The delegation of Ukraine arrived at the place of negotiations with Russia in Belarus, RIA Novosti reports.
The Ukrainian delegation includes head of the Servant of the People faction David Arakhamia, Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov, adviser to the President's Office Mykhailo Podolyak. The Russian delegation at the talks is headed by Vladimir Medinsky, aide to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The talks between the delegations of the two countries, which are to be held in the Gomel region, will take place on the Belarusian-Ukrainian border near the Pripyat River. The source said that the negotiations will begin in the morning hours of Monday, February 28.
On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that he had decided to conduct a military special operation in the Donbass in response to a request for help from the heads of the LPR and DPR. Ukraine severed diplomatic relations with Russia. The decision to conduct the operation was the reason for new sanctions against Russia by the United States and its allies.
