Russia and the CIS (bbabo.net) - Tajikistan will not operate flights to several Russian cities in the near future due to the escalation of the conflict in Ukraine, RIA Novosti reports.

We are talking about Krasnodar, Rostov-on-Don and Voronezh. The authorities have suspended the operation of airports in these cities for the time being for security reasons, given the proximity to the border with Ukraine, where fighting is taking place. A similar measure was taken by the Federal Air Transport Agency in relation to a dozen more air harbors in the south of the country.

Dushanbe noted that flights are likely to be diverted to airports close to those that are still closed.

The Tajik side notes that this is a temporary measure that will last at least until March 2.
