G7 does not recognize the change in status quo that will result from the operation of the Russian Federation in Ukraine

The countries of the Group of Seven (G7) do not recognize any change in the status quo brought about by Russia's special operation in Ukraine. It is reported by TASS.

“The ministers stressed that any change in the status quo that would be achieved as a result of the Russian act of aggression would not be recognized,” the G7 participating countries said in a statement.

The publication notes that the heads of the ministries of foreign affairs of the G7 states "agreed to closely coordinate their actions in order to ensure broad and strong international condemnation of Russia's unjustified behavior."

Also, the foreign ministers called on the member countries of the United Nations "to take a clear position on Russian aggression", as well as to condemn its actions in the UN, especially at the General Assembly of the organization and the Human Rights Council.

On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that he had decided to conduct a military special operation to protect the Donbass in response to a request for help from the heads of the LPR and DPR.

Ukraine severed diplomatic relations with Russia. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has submitted a bill on general mobilization to the Verkhovna Rada.
