Uzbek bank suspends money transfers from Russia

Russia and the CIS (bbabo.net) - The Uzbek digital bank Orange, which received a license from the Central Bank four months ago, has temporarily refused to make money transfers from Russia.

Clients could read the orphan message in the bank's mobile application.

The organization has not yet given a reason for the decision.

A few days earlier, Western countries announced the introduction of a new package of sanctions against Russia in connection with its ongoing special operation to demilitarize Ukraine. The sanctions apply to a number of major banks.

Soon, two Uzbek banks - Hamkorbank and Ipak Yuli - suspended the operation of the Sberbank Online money transfer application, explaining this by technical reasons. Subsequently, the Hamkorbank application resumed operation.
