Guests of different faiths were welcomed in the Samara mosque

Russia and the CIS (bbabo.net) - The word "Islam" is often in the news headlines and is usually used in a negative context, which leads people to form the wrong opinion about this religion. In order to tell everyone about Islam, answer the questions of residents, and also allow you to get to know the imams and ordinary believers live, an “Open Day” was held today in the mosque of Samara.

The event was organized by the Regional Spiritual Administration of Muslims.

The guests were greeted by Mufti Talip Yarullin, who reminded that, contrary to stereotypes, Islam has always been a religion of peace and mercy, and Muslims must always respect representatives of other faiths and their religious views. Talip-hazrat spoke about the history and work of the Samara Cathedral Mosque, which opened in 1999. Today it accommodates about five thousand people, and all conditions are created here for traditional Muslim rituals.

Since on the days of the main holidays of Eid al-Adha and Eid al-Adha, the mosque does not accommodate everyone who wants to perform a festive prayer, the conditions for praying are organized on the street. Also, during the month of Ramadan, a tent is set up on the territory adjacent to the mosque, where everyone is fed free of charge. The Samara Cathedral Mosque is a whole complex of buildings where there is a madrasah, shops with Islamic literature and paraphernalia, as well as food products of the Halal standard.

In addition, Imams of the Cathedral Mosque Abdulakhat Mingachev and Islam Yarullin also spoke to the guests, who spoke about the rules of conduct for Muslims, the role and rights of women in Islam. Ali Suleymanov, the rector of Nur madrasah, acquainted the participants with the work of the educational institution, spoke about the classes that are held for those wishing to study the basics of Islam.

At the end of the event, the guests visited the Museum of the History of Islam and witnessed the performance of a collective prayer, the information portal “All of us - Russia” reports.
