Russia resumes import of vegetables from seven Islamic countries

Russia and the CIS (bbabo.net) - Seven Islamic countries will be able to resume deliveries of their vegetables to Russia after a long ban imposed by the Rosselkhoznadzor.

Restrictive measures cease to operate from Saturday, March 5.

Thus, the Russians will again be able to enjoy tomatoes from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. The last four will also supply peppers

Turkey resumes the supply of four items at once - tomatoes, peppers, zucchini and eggplant, and Egypt - potatoes.

In addition, restrictions have been lifted on the supply of certain vegetables from Armenia and Belarus.

Rosselkhoznadzor argued its decision with the results of the analysis of information provided by the relevant departments of these states, including the measures taken to prevent violations of the phytosanitary requirements of the Russian Federation and the EAEU member countries.
