Russia and the CIS (bbabo.net) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, during talks in Antalya with his Ukrainian counterpart Dmitry Kuleba, confirmed Moscow's proposals for a comprehensive settlement of the situation in Ukraine.

As observers expected, no breakthrough agreements were reached at the meeting. At the same time, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Chavosoglu pointed to the importance of "the very fact of the meeting", which, according to him, took place in a cultural and calm atmosphere.

Kuleba, in a conversation with reporters, lamented the lack of an agreement on a ceasefire.

Lavrov, in turn, recalled that a week ago, during negotiations in Belarus, the Russian delegation handed over to the Ukrainian colleagues a legal document with specific proposals for overcoming the intra-Ukrainian conflict and is now waiting for a response from Kyiv.

The Russian minister stressed that the West is seeking only one thing from Kyiv - subversive activities against Russia and everything Russian.

Russia, as Lavrov noted, wants to see the neighboring country friendly and not prohibiting the Russian language and culture.

“We wanted to resolve the issue of security through diplomacy until the very end,” the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
