“Joint patrolling of the air borders of the Union State. Patrolling is carried out as part of strategic bombers Tu-22M3 of the Russian Aerospace Forces, accompanied by a mixed tactical group of multifunctional fighters SU-30SM of Belarus and Russia, ”the department noted.

Earlier, the press secretary of the head of state Dmitry Peskov said that the presidents of Russia and Belarus Vladimir Putin and Alexander Lukashenko agreed to hold a meeting by the end of the year.

Peskov said that the Kremlin was timely announcing this event, and specified that the meeting would take place "before the New Year."

A few days earlier, after the meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, Putin and Lukashenko held telephone talks, during which, as the state agency BelTA noted, they discussed the most pressing issues of Belarusian-Russian relations.
