The Foreign Ministry said that Moscow did not receive a response from Washington to the proposal of the Russian Federation

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said that Moscow urgently needs a response from Washington related to proposals for security guarantees. This was reported by RIA Novosti.

According to the diplomat, the situation is difficult at the moment.

"I think they will try to translate all this into a sluggish process, and we need it urgently, since the situation is very difficult, it is acute, and tends to further complicate," Ryabkov stressed.

He drew attention to the fact that the Russian Federation is ready to start negotiations with the United States in the very near future.

“The Americans will probably try to furnish all this with additional conditions, some additional requirements, and talk about different formats,” he said.

Ryabkov also clarified that consultations with Washington on visa issues could take place in 2022.

“Therefore, we will look, probably already in the new year, what is possible and what is not,” explained the deputy head of the department.

In turn, Ryabkov recalled that the United States is still denying Russia access to diplomatic property.

“In essence, there is no progress, we continue to be denied access to our facilities. We will continue to press for the United States to fulfill its obligations under the Vienna Convention, ”he said.

Ryabkov added that contacts with the United States on security guarantees should be in a bilateral format.

“We continue to speak in favor of a bilateral negotiation process with Washington,” said the deputy head of the RF Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Earlier, the Russian Foreign Ministry announced the negative impact of the "hellish" US sanctions on vision.
