According to the agency, the official representative of the Ministry of Commerce of China, Shu Jueting, made a statement at a briefing on Thursday. According to her, Beijing will resolutely protect national interests.

“China expresses its categorical protest. We will take the necessary countermeasuresolutely protect the legitimate rights of Chinese companies and organizations,” said Shu Jiueting.

According to her, Washington is acting to the detriment of China-US regular trade and economic cooperation, violating the laws of the market and international rules.

The US poses a serious threat to international supply chains," the official added.

She noted that the US authorities "abuse restrictive measures", using the power of the state apparatus to put pressure on business.

"The United States must stop making mistakes," Shu Jiueting concluded.

On August 23, the US Department of Commerce blacklisted seven Chinese organizations. Among them are two research institutes of the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation, two organizations under the China Academy of Space Technology, two structures of the China Electronic Technology Corporation, and Zhuhai Orbita Control Systems.

These entities in the United States will reportedly be subject to a "presumption of denial" when considering export license applications.
