Britain is waiting for a Russian attack on its military bases: Air Force planes change their location

Russia (bbabo.net), - UK Royal Air Force fighters relocate to civilian airports as tensions escalate with Russia. According to the Daily Express newspaper, the country is taking such a step for the first time since the Second World War.

Regional airports are preparing to receive combat aircraft for the first time since World War II amid rising tensions with Russia, the article says.

It is noted that the redeployment takes place within the framework of the Agile Combat Employment (ACE) concept, which has been developed for more than a year for potential hot spots around the world, such as the Indo-Pacific region, the Middle East, or even the eastern flanks of NATO in Europe. However, the Daily Express points out that after Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine, the ACE program was accelerated and extended to the entire territory of the UK.

“The goal of the program is to ensure that the British Rapid Reaction Force, operating from a greater number of bases, thereby provides greater flexibility and reliability. In addition, they will be able to withstand direct attacks on bases, ”the newspaper writes.

It draws attention to the fact that in September the Eurofighter Typhoon and F-35 fighters based in Norfolk and Lincolnshire and Scotland will be divided into small groups and placed on the outskirts of a number of regional airports with runways capable of receiving them.

According to the newspaper, officials from the UK Department of Defense visited regional civil airports several times over the past year to find out how much aircraft and reserve capacity, as well as ground crews, can be placed on them in an emergency.
