The diplomat noted that Beijing expresses concern about the policy of Washington, which oppresses the companies of other countries and openly violates the generally accepted principles of trade and economic cooperation.

"This undermines the confidence of the international community in the United States and will have disastrous consequences for the American side," Mao Ning added.

As Bloomberg reported on Saturday, the Joe Biden administration is considering taking steps to limit US investment in Chinese technology companies. According to the resource, the US President may sign a corresponding decree in the coming months.
