Western countries plan to allocate $36 billion for military assistance to Ukraine

Ukraine (bbabo.net), - Western countries are planning to allocate more than € 36 billion in military assistance to Ukraine. This is evidenced by the data of the Ukraine Support Tracker service of the German Kiel Institute for the World Economy.

According to him, the United States is the largest supplier of weapons and military equipment. They will account for € 25 billion. The UK is in second place in terms of supplies. Its share will be € 4 billion. Poland (€ 1.8 billion) and Germany (€ 1.2 billion) will also allocate more than € 1 billion.

The United States is also the leader in terms of total planned aid to Ukraine. They will reach €44.5 billion.

Earlier, citing an unnamed US congressional official, Politico newspaper reported that the US administration is likely to announce another arms shipment to Ukraine this week in the amount of approximately $600 million. According to the publication, equipment and weapons will be supplied to Kyiv from the Pentagon's stocks.

On September 8, the Pentagon provided Ukraine with another $675 million military aid package. It included additional ammunition for HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems, HARM anti-radar missiles, four 105 mm howitzers, 36,000 105 mm artillery shells, 100 combat armored vehicles, more 5,000 anti-tank systems, 1.5 million rounds for small arms, 1,000 155mm remote mining projectiles, additional grenade launchers and small arms, medical armored vehicles and night vision systems.

In total, under the current administration, the United States has allocated about $15.2 billion for military assistance to Kyiv, since 2014 - $17.2 billion.
